The Village Family Service Center Expands Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program to Offer Virtual Services

Fargo, ND – The Village Family Service Center is proud to announce that starting November 4th, 2024, its Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) will be available virtually, in addition to its in-person offerings. This new option allows the program to reach clients across both North Dakota and Minnesota, providing vital mental health support to more individuals, wherever they feel most comfortable.

Since 2016, The Village’s IOP has supported hundreds of clients in their journey toward mental wellness. Open to individuals aged 18 and older, the program treats high-acuity mental health conditions within a structured, group-based format. Clients typically complete the program in 8-12 weeks, with programming running Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

JoDee Knipfer, Regional Program Supervisor at The Village in Fargo, shares her enthusiasm about this expansion, "By offering our IOP virtually, we can reach more people who need a higher level of care while allowing them to heal from the comfort of their own home. Our program is designed to help clients regain mental wellness while keeping up with their daily responsibilities."

The program utilizes evidence-based treatment methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and more. It also includes weekly individual therapy and, when appropriate, family therapy sessions.

Most insurance plans are accepted, and a free screening is the first step to enrolling in the IOP. To schedule a screening, call 701-451-4900 or fill out the form below.
